The data controller is Skidemy S.r.l., with registered office at Via Tuscolana 299, 00181 Rome (RM), tax code and VAT no. 18478051008. 2. Collected Data

We collect and store the minimum necessary data to provide the service (Data Minimization Principle):

  • User Identity: Name, Email, Profile picture (for authentication).
  • Purchase History: User email, course ID, start/end dates (to verify course ownership).
  • Progress: Tracking of completed lessons.
  • Technical Data: Temporary system logs and strictly necessary session cookies.

3. Third Parties and Processors

We use reliable third-party services to manage specific features:

  • Vercel: Application hosting.
  • Neon (PostgreSQL): Database for secure data storage.
  • Stripe: Secure payment processing (we do not store your credit card details).
  • Mux: Video hosting and streaming.
  • Resend: Sending transactional emails (e.g., password reset).
  • Hetzner Online GmbH: Storage of images and multimedia content (object storage, servers in Finland).
  • ImprovMX: Forwarding of skidemy.org domain emails.
  • OpenAI: Automatic translation of course subtitles.
  • Vercel Analytics: Aggregated, anonymous usage statistics (cookieless).

4. Your Rights (GDPR)

In accordance with the GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • Right of Access and Portability: You can download a full copy of your data in JSON format from the Settings page.
  • Right to be Forgotten (Erasure): You can independently delete your account and all associated data from the Settings page.
  • Right to Rectification: You can update your password independently. For changes to email or name, please contact us.

5. Cookies

We use exclusively "strictly necessary" technical cookies to manage the login session and ensure site security. We do not use third-party profiling or marketing cookies without your explicit consent. Usage statistics are collected via Vercel Analytics in aggregated, anonymous form, without the use of cookies.
